15cm of snow fell at Kaprun in Austria on Saturday.
The sun shining at our reported French and Italian resorts France and this is forecast to last all weekend.
The sunny weather softening the snow at our reported Swiss resorts is also expected to last most of the weekend.
The summer ski season has ended on the Blackcomb glacier at Whistler in Canada.
Wet weather closed facilities at Timberline in America on Wednesday. Further wet weather is forecast over the weekend.
Typical spring conditions are starting to emerge at the Australian resorts with firm packed trails in the morning which soften throughout the day.
Fresh snow has fallen at many of our reported New Zealand resorts this week, although spring conditions dominate due the fine sunny weather that currently blesses skiers on the north and south islands.
Chile reports excellent riding condition and some fresh snow could fall before the weekend. La Parva has the deepest snow base of our reported Chilean resorts.
Cerro Catedral and Chapelco in Argentina both received at least 30cm of fresh snow on Tuesday.

Austria | | |
The best time to ski in Austria is early in the morning before the strength of the sun and the mild temperatures cause the cover to become heavy.
On Saturday 15cm of snow fell at Kaprun (59cm) but this has not helped the conditions. The cover is still wet becoming heavy by mid morning and only 1km of skiing is available on Thursday.
On Thursday foggy weather is affecting visibility on the Molltal glacier (180cm) but 9km of pistes are open. The weekend ahead has much better weather forecast and snowsports are available from 7.30am until 2.30 pm.

France | | |
More bright and sunny weather enhances conditions at Les Deux Alpes (80cm) and Tignes (40cm) this week. The snow quickly softens due to the strength of the sun so it is best to ski early in the morning before the snow becomes wet and heavy.
Val d'Isere is now closed for the summer ski season.

Switzerland

The piste depths have reduced a little at Saas Fee (168cm) since last week but the summer riding is still excellent. The terrain park is open and riders can hit the halfpipe, rails and kickers. There are also four pistes open on Thursday.
Excellent summer riding is reported at Zermatt (95cm) on the four red runs and two blue runs that are open on Thursday.
Predominantly sunny weather is forecast this weekend at our reported Swiss summer skiing destinations.

Italy | | |
No fresh snow was reported at Cervinia (95cm) last weekend, but Val Senales (40cm) did receive a dusting on Sunday.
Bright and sunny weather is expected across the weekend at both resorts.
The Presena glacier is closed for summer skiing due insufficient snow.

North America | | |
The summer ski season has finished on the Blackcomb glacier at Whistler, Canada and skiing will resume on the glacier on the 27th November.
The lifts were closed on Wednesday at Timberline (170cm) due to poor weather but the skies are dryer on Thursday. It should again be possible to ski on the Palmer snowfield before the weekend. Unfortunately further rain showers are forecast on Saturday and Sunday.

Conditions have changed in the last week at the resorts that we report on in Australia. The trails have become firmly packed and there is a hint that spring is on the way.
Spring conditions are beginning to dominate the on trail conditions. This can be seen at Mount Buller (110/165cm) and Mount Hotham (144/144cm). The snow patrol at Mount Hotham is reporting that they have a great cover of softening snow.
Thredbo (61/160cm) also has spring like conditions emerging. The cover is firm in the morning across all of the trails with the snow on the lower mountain softening at the day progresses.
If you are looking to spend some time in the park then the Lower Cactus rail park has just been rebuilt at Mount Baw Baw (92/130cm). The park has five new features and includes a bonk fridge, butter box, flat rail and massive wall ride.

| New Zealand

Fresh snow has fallen at almost all of our reported New Zealand resorts over the last week, but the overall the snow conditions are spring like. The snow starts off firmly packed in the morning then it softens as the sun warms the snow. The fine, sunny weather is expected to last all weekend.
The only resorts not reporting any new snow this week are Rainbow (250/300cm) on the south island and Whakapapa on the north island (350cm), but both resorts are in great shape.
Coronet Peak (85/130cm) is hosting the Volkswagen National Ski Champs this week. The Giant Slalom takes place on Friday followed by the first Nationals Slalom under lights on Saturday.
Mount Dobson (150/180cm) received 20cm of snow on Monday but this has not packed down. The resort is hosting the Aoraki Secondary School Champs today, Thursday 28th.
The base depth at Turoa (475cm) on the north island is excellent with over four metres of snow on the ground. The Jagermeister Snowboard Masters BoaderX is being hosted at Turoa on Saturday 30th August.

| Chile

Our reported Chilean resorts are in excellent shape thanks to the deep snow bases. Some fresh snow could fall before the weekend, further enhancing the conditions.
Excellent conditions can be found across La Parva (460/580cm) and the snow base is the deepest of the Three Valleys resorts with more than four metres of snow across the resort. Further snowfalls are expected at all of the Three Valleys resorts on Thursday then the weekend will be predominantly sunny.
The snow base at Portillo (298/350cm) has packed down following the snow that fell last week. The conditions are excellent with a snow base of around three metres across the resort. The weather over the weekend is forecast to be a mixture of sunny and cloudy spells.
The snow base across Termas de Chillan (35/350cm) is good but the upper slopes are where you can find the deepest cover. Fresh snowfalls are expected before the weekend then some sun is forecast from Saturday.

| Argentina

Heavy snowfalls on Tuesday at Cerro Catedral (20/200cm) and Chapelco (60/270cm) have created excellent conditions at both resorts.
The most snow fell on the upper pistes at Cerro Catedral which received 45cm of snow. There have been high winds in the area so the off-piste has become windblown but powder can still be enjoyed on-piste. Snow is expected over the weekend which will keep the conditions topped up on a daily basis.
Chapelco received 30cm of new snow and more is expected over the weekend. High winds are also forecast which could affect the lift operations as well.
